# TEMS Worktree Recovery Review

## Review Date

2026-07-18

## Purpose

This note records what was found before creating a clean recovery point for the TEMS repository.

## Worktree Buckets

### 1. Native TEMS module work

New untracked module files exist for:

- Commercial Operations
- Finance foundation
- HR organization foundation
- Planning and Performance
- Shared navigation
- Module migrations, seeders, views, services, and feature tests

These files are intentional and are part of the current Laravel-native TEMS baseline.

### 2. Tracked Laravel updates

Tracked modifications include:

- Texaro Technologies Limited branding
- Login and password reset flow updates
- Default seeded superadmin updates
- Expanded permission catalog
- Unified sidebar/navigation
- Legacy sales/finance connection points
- Layout and legacy view adjustments
- Feature test updates

These changes are intentional and support the current system direction.

### 3. Deleted legacy source directory

The tracked `legacy_app` directory and `scripts/setup_fixed_database.php` are deleted in the worktree.

Search found no current Laravel code references to:

- `legacy_app`
- `PHPMailer`
- `u963586588_Business.sql`
- `setup_fixed_database.php`

The active legacy screens now live under `resources/views/legacy` and are routed through Laravel.

## Recovery Decision

The clean checkpoint should include:

- New native module files
- Phase 0 stabilization files
- Texaro branding changes
- Canonical business-core migration
- Removal of unused tracked legacy source files

The deleted legacy source remains recoverable from Git history after the checkpoint.

## Verification Before Checkpoint

- `php artisan test` passed: 35 tests, 34 passed, 1 skipped.
- `php artisan migrate` applied the Phase 0 business-core migration.
- `php artisan migrate:status` confirmed all current migrations have run.

## Remaining Follow-Up

- Continue replacing runtime schema guards in legacy views with migrations.
- Decide whether any old hotspot/API capabilities from `legacy_app/api` must be rebuilt as Laravel routes.
- Add browser/visual QA for sidebar, login, native modules, and major legacy screens.
